Mr. and Mrs

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful! I will have plenty of pics to post soon but for now...We're on the HONEYMOON! I promise not to blog, email, or call (unless it's an emergency). We are going to get some needed rest and relaxation!

Slowly but Surely...

Whew! I made it through Monday. I am pleased to say that I successfully completed all tasks on my "Monday" card. Well, actually I haven't finished my portfolio work that's due on the 28th but it's listed on EVERY to-do card this week. I'll get it finished slowly...a little work every day.

I spoke to my friend Carrie tonight and I'm so excited about Thursday and Friday night. She and Nora are spending the night with me Thursday and Friday to help out with anything and everything. So fun! My cousin Kelli will also be with us on Thursday to decorate at the church. It takes a village to put on a wedding!

I have to say that my sister is working her fingers to the bone with floral stuff. She's also helping coordinate so much. I don't know what I would have done without her! Kristen, get some rest...

Denise sent my garter and the wedding favors over with Jonathon. The candy boxes look great and the gartner is adorable. She and Jenny did a great job! My in-laws are GREAT!!

Okay, I gotta get in bed. It's after eleven....I never stay up this late!! Ugh....

One Week Away...

We are one week away from becoming husband and wife. Jonathon looked at me last night and said, "We're going to be married in a week." He said it just hit him. I think we've talking about it for so long that it just seemed like it would never get here, but it's actually happening!

There's so much to do in the next six days that I've actually made index cards with all the tasks I MUST get accomplished each day of the week this week. I will not go to bed until those tasks are finished.....(Well, okay I'll go to bed. I have to get my beauty sleep this week. I'm a thirty year old bride. I can't have tired eyes!)

Good news: The insurance company pulled through! We were able to order my replacement engagement ring this week and it's supposed to be ready by Wednesday......just in time! We won't have time to pick out a wedding band. The company didn't make one that fit around it perfectly and it has a unique design to it so we probably won't have time to go around to stores and find a wedding band, but that's okay! I'm just happy to have ring back and we can perform the ceremony with it. We will pick something out after the wedding.

Okay I have a busy day today: go to class, swing to a birthday party on my lunch break, then on to Melanie's wedding tonight. Jonathon has Guard this weekend so I'm hoping tonight I can come home and work on my portfolio paperwork. It's all due very soon!

Getting Things Done

Don't you love the feeling of marking things off the "to-do" list?!?! I am on to-do list overload right now, but every time I check something off I get so excited.....a little burst of adrenaline. There's plenty to do in the next few days so I should be riding this natural high all the way to the alter!

Okay, I gotta go....more things to do!

Two Weeks!

Ahh! I don't know if I'm more excited or nervous to get everything done. I know I'm ready to be Jonathon's wife but there's so much to do!!! I'm not just talking about the wedding either. Most of the major projects in my life all come to an end the week of the wedding. So there's just a lot to get done over the next 13 days!!

One day at a time, one task at a time, one prayer at a time.......that's how it will all get done....

Last night we had the Spring Festival at JJ. They served steak dinners from Texas Roadhouse. Mmmm.......Good times.

Today was the Big Day..

Well, it was actually a big day before my BIG day coming in a couple weeks. Anyway, I am really quite speechless about the ExCEL Award. Check it out tonight on WHAS 11. They said it should be on the evening news at 5:30 or 6:00.
